“There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island.” – Walt Disney
This book told an incredible story of a young Cee Cee who had to deal with a handicap and how she overcame obstacles that existed with friends and school due to her handicap. The book is written in graphic novel format, which made it read somewhat like a comic book; however the message was powerful. Really enjoyed reading this book. I am so glad that my librarian suggested it.

I really like this book. This is my second time reading the book and I have meet the author Cece Bell. This is a true story of young Cece who goes deaf at age four. Then discovers her superpower to hear the teacher every where she is. I really enjoyed the book I hope other kids at my school will read it. Thank you Ms.JONES for getting El Deafo and my superpower is gymnastics.
